Lab of Animal Ecology and Evolution
In the lab we study processes responsible for the adaptation of organisms to their environment. These studies include research of individual variation of behavioural and immunological responses, population regulation. In particular we focus on the following subsets of evolutionary ecology: predator-prey interactions, evolution of social behaviour, life-histories and distribution ranges driven by climate changes, ecological immunology, host-parasite interactions. Proper understanding of environmental changes and evolutionary processes helps us to realize the importance of conservation of biodiversity. We are not taxa-specific and research has been on varied taxa including birds, bird blood parasites, amphibians, insects and humans.
Our recent results will be presented at the following meetings: Behavior 2011, ESEB 2011, EOU 2011
